Do you ever have those days where you just don’t seem up to much of anything? That was me today. I woke up as scheduled, but never felt like I had started my day or something. My mood was great, I just didn’t get much accomplished, I guess. Well, on to eats, then!
I made a lovely parfait this morning with some plain Greek yogurt, agave, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries, and some Bear Naked Fit granola. I don’t think I need to say it was awesome.
For some reason, I kept thinking about eggs, so I wanted to have an egg sandwich for lunch. It was a really simple one, just 1 egg + 1 egg white and extra sharp cheddar on WW toast. I put the cheese between the eggs so that it would get extra gooey. And topped it with Tabasco, of course! Yumbly.
After that I hauled myself out of the house and hit up campus to chat with Christina, get a new library card, and go to the gym. I got in there, looked at the treadmill, and just thought, I don’t feel like running anything today… The elliptical didn’t appeal, either. I decided to walk on the treadmill at 11% incline for 1/2 an hour, tried the bike for 15 minutes, and did a couple ab and arm machines before calling it a day.
After the gym I was pretty hungry, but didn’t feel ready for dinner yet, so I snacked on some grapes
and a little trail mix (x2).
The girlies and I were going to trek out to one of the suburbs to buy Harry Potter tickets. Luckily, we called first–they were already sold out!! Instead, we found them at another movie theater (the Mall of America one, actually) and could buy them online. HP at the midnight showing, yeah!
Poor Christina had an upset tum, so I offered to make her some soup. I used a package of Kluski soup mix, and added a few handfuls of mixed frozen veggies and frozen broccoli to the pot for some improved nutrition. A few extra spices, and I had create something delish! And it cured Christina’s sicky feeling! Yay! That, people, is the power of soup.
Sorry for the crappy picture. New camera soon, I promise! While Christina and I slurped, the rest of the team played a very spirited game of Life. There was a lot of arguing going on–I didn’t think it was that intense of a game!:)
I had another VitaTop, too. This time Imicrowaved it twice as long as they suggested, so that it was not only thawed, but hot. I actually liked it better. The gooey chocolate was nice…
After a while, I wanted to chillax with some TV. I got Allister to watch True Blood with me. We decided to start at the beginning (I’d only seen 3 episodes, so it wasn’t too far back) again. I think he liked it. But, I was shocked when after the vampires were done, he requested to watch NYC Prep. What?! I think I’ve created a monster… π
Truth be told, I started this post last night, but got distracted by the TV-watching. So let’s just plop in this morning, here, too: I got up extra early to go tutor Russian (we learned colors today! Yay!) and I ate a bowl of cinnamon Puffins with blueberries and skim before running out the door.
It is rainy and grey again so I am not sure what the rest of the day will bring. We’ll see, right?
